Beiiins-Shenghong Refining Petrochemical(Lian Yun Gang) Co.Ltd.has awarded a contract to KBR to supply vinyl acetate monomer(VAM) technology,under an alliance agreement with Showa Denko(SDK),for a new VAM unit to be built in Lianyungang,China.Under the contract,KBR will provide license and basic engineering design for the 300,000-t/y VAM unit,which will be built as part of an integrated refinery and petrochemical complex.In addition to the technology,Shenghong will utilize SDK's catalysts.A schedule for the project was not given.
