Frankfort- Ashland Global Holdings announced an amendment to the purchase agreement for the sale of its composites business and butanediol (BDO) manufacturing facility in Marl, Germany, to Ineos Enterprises (PCN, 10 June 2019, p 4). The amendment includes the removal of the maleic business from the sale. The transaction, which remains valued at $l.l-billion, is now expected to close in late summer 2019. Ashland earlier said the deal was planned to close in the first half of 2019.
