Singapore-Jurong Port Pte and Oiltanking announced the start-up of Jurong Port Tank Terminals(JPTT),a joint venture of the two companies,located on Jurong Island in Singapore(PCN,25 Sept 2017,p 3).The”state-of-the-art”terminal is designed to store and handle both clean petroleum products and chemicals.It is directly opposite the Jurong Island petrochemical hub and will be connected to it via pipelines.According to Jurong Port's website,the terminal will have an initial capacity of 232,000 cu m and is expected to have a total capacity of around 550,000 cu m upon completion of phase two.JPTT is supported by four deep-water berths with drafts of up to 17.6 meters,capable of handling vessels up to 180,000 deadweight tons.
