Chennai-Toray Industries said that its Toray Industries(India)Pvt.Ltd.subsidiary has started manufacturing polyamide(PA)and polybutylene terephthalate(PBT)at its site in Sri City,Andhra Pradesh,India(PCN,23 Apr 2018,p 2).The new facility,which is expected to reach full operating capacity”in the near future,”will have a production capacity of around 5,000 t/y,said Toray,adding that it is the”first”Indian plastic compounding unit of a Japanese manufacturer.Cost of the plant was not given.
