Dallas- Celanese said it will initiate the reconfiguration of its global acetic acid (AA) production network through multiple value creation steps, including an expansion of its AA plant in Clear Lake, Texas, and production rationalization in Asia. I In Clear Lake, the AA facility will be expanded to approximately 2-million t/y from 1.3-million t/y currently. .Completion is expected by late 2021.
