Uithoorn-Rain Carbon announced that its board of directors has approved the shutdown of its resins production facility in Uithoorn,the Netherlands,by the end of March 2020.The plant,which produces hydrocarbon and C9 aromatic resins,will maintain full production until the shutdown and will continue to meet customer requirements through August 2020.”A decision like this is never easy,as it impacts employees,families and the surrounding community,”said Rain Carbon President Gerry Sweeney.”However,after an intensive evaluation of available options over the last few quarters,it became clear that continued operation of the plant is not feasible.
