Cilegon-Nippon Shokubai Indonesia(NSI)has been granted a”tax holiday”from Indonesia's Ministry of Finance for its new acrylic acid(AA)production facility being built in Cilegon,Banten,Indonesia(PCN,15 July 2019,p 1).NSI is investing around $2G0-million in the project,which will increase AA production capacity at the site to 240,000 t/y from 140,000 t/y currently.Construction began in July 2019 and commercial operations are expected to begin in November 2021.
