Frankfurt—VCI the German chemical industry association, has confirmed its earlier predictions of a good year for the German chemical sector, despite the "growth pause" it noted in September (PCN, 12 Sept 2011, p 4). VCI believes that 2011 domestic chemical production will increase 5% from the previous year, while sales for the full year are expected to rise 10%.
