Jubail-Daelim Industrial Co. said it has "received the certificate of mechanical completion of the Saudi NCP Polymer project from U.S.-based Chevron Phillips, the project owner" (PCN, 20 July 09, p 3). The project includes units designed to produce 550,000 t/y of high-density polyethylene, 550,000 t/y of linear low-density polyethylene, 400,000 t/y of polypropylene and 200,000 t/y of polystyrene.
