Okuma-Kureha Corp. is boosting production capacity for polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) at its Iwaki facility in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. The company will invest ￥10-billion to increase PPS capacity by 5,000 t/y to 15,700 t/y, in response to growing customer demand. Construction is expected to be completed by September 2020 and operations are planned to begin in February 2021.
