Columbia-Zeus Industrial Products announced the development of a new biopolymer recycling technology that recycles polylactic acid (PLA) to support a circular economy. Zeus' PLA chemical recycling technology has several advantages compared to current recycling options, the company noted. It requires a significantly lower investment, allows customers to focus on forward-looking products that support sustainable programs and economic viability, and is highly amenable to industrial or medical grade PLA, Zeus noted.
