Harrisburg-The Pennsylvania Dept. of Environmental Protection (DEP) has issued an order suspending Sunoco's construction permits associated with the Mariner East 2 pipeline project (PCN, 18 Apr 2016, p 2). The Mariner East 2 project at Marcus Hook, Penn., expected to have an initial capacity of 275,000 b/d of natural gas liquids (NGLs), will deliver the NGLs from the liquid-rich shale areas in Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Eastern Ohio to Sunoco's Marcus Hook complex for distribution to local, domestic and international markets.
