Perm— Casale and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) have concluded a technology license agreement in which MHI will supply its carbon dioxide (C02) recovery technology to Metafrax's new ammonia, urea and melamine project in Perm, Russia (PCN, 30 Oct 2017, p 1). Casale is the technology licensor and engineering, procurement and construction management contractor for the entire project, which involves facilities for the production of 894 t/d of ammonia, 1,725 t/d of urea and 40,000 t/y of melamine using Casale's technologies. Completion is scheduled in 2021.
