Edinburgh— Ineos announced that the Court of Session in Edinburgh, Scotland, has clarified that there is in fact no ban on tracking in Scotland (PCN, 15 Jan 2018, p 3). In January 2018, Ineos and its co-venture partner Reach said they filed a petition for judicial review of a decision by the Scottish government in October 2017 to "effectively ban" shale and all other forms of unconventional oil and gas development in the country.
