Shanghai— Invista announced that enging is underway underway for a new "world-class" adiponitrile (ADN) plant in Shanghai, China (PCN, 31 Oct 2016, p 1). The facility, which will have a production capacity of at least 300,000 t/y of ADN, is scheduled to begin construction in 2020. Production is planned, to start in 2023. Invista said it has been meeting with customers and industry participants to develop a collaborative strategy for meeting China's ADN needs.
