Houston— Petrochemical producers and refiners along the U.S. Gulf Coast have begun to temporarily shut down operations and prepare for the arrival of Hurricane Harvey, according to several local sources. Dow began shutting down its Seadrift, Texas, facility on 24 Aug., while Ineos Nitriles and Invista closed their Green Lake, Texas, and Victoria County, Texas, facilities, respectively.
