Oslo— Norner announced the signing of its first license agreement for its advanced Norner Trimodal Technology (NTT) for the production of polyethylene (PE). NTT is based on a system of three polymerization reactors where a small fraction of a third high molecular weight polymer is introduced in a small third reactor containing comonomer. The process enables a cost-efficient upgrading of existing bimodal plants by adding a third reactor, the company explained.
