Muscat—A consortium of CB&I and Saipem has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by Duqm Refinery and Petrochemicals Industries Co. (DRPIC) for Package 3 for the Duqm refinery project in Oman (PCN, 7-14 Aug 2017, p 1). DRPIC, a joint venture of Oman Oil Co. and Kuwait Petroleum International, is developing a project which includes a 230,000-b/d refinery and petrochemicals production in a subsequent phase.
