UK Acacia Mining second-quarter gold production increased 19% on year to 158,774 oz, the company said Monday. “We remain confident of achieving production within our guidance of 500,000- 550,000 oz for the year,” interim CEO Peter Geleta said in a statement. London-listed Acacia said its second- quarter production was stronger due to increased gold production at the North Mara mine in Tanzania, up 38.6% on year to 119,113 oz from 85,920 oz, offset by expected reductions in production at Buzwagi and Bulyanhulu operations, also in Tanzania, the company said.
