US raw steel capability utiliza- tion remained below the 80% level for the second consecutive week, ticking down to 79.4% last week, after falling below 80% for the first time since January the week prior. Production declined 0.2% to 1.847 million st during the week ended July 6, down from 1.851 million st produced the previous week, according to data released Monday by the American Iron and Steel Institute.
