London—The outlook for the gold market looks increasingly shaky as fears of a global recession intensify after the stock market routs of the last week, according to analysts. A recession is very likely to take place on the back of last week’s panic in the markets, said Martin Murenbeeld, president of Murenbeeld & Co., a consultancy specializing in gold markets, international financial and economic trends.
