Seaborne-traded Indonesian thermal coal prices moved higher during the Asian trade session Monday, with demand centered on Kalimantan low calorific value thermal coal, market sources said. An Indonesia-based coal producer said he is hearing new bidding interest at the beginning of the trading week, and is currently looking at these fresh inquiries. A Singapore-based trader heard an offer for Indonesian 4,200 kcal/ kg GAR thermal coal at $38.50/mt FOB Kalimantan on a Supramax vessel basis, and a counterbid at $37.50/mt.
