While the less-than-stellar demand recovery still concerns traders,weather worries related to Hurricane Sally taking GoM production temporarily offline helped boost crude prices around the world during the week ending Sept.18.Thursday's meeting of the OPEC+ Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee also supported prices since members reaffirmed their commitment to compliance with the group's production caps.The front-month Brent/Dubai Exchange of Futures for Swaps(EFS)edged 8￠/bbl lower over the week to reach positive-3￠/bbl on Sept.18 but had closed Monday through Thursday at negative-5-20￠/bbl.From Sept.11 to Sept.17,the price for OPEC's basket of crudes gained $2.70/bbl to hit $42.07/bbl.(As of the time of writing,OPEC had not posted its basket price for Sept.18.)The cash price for Dubai crude increased by $3.79/bbl over the week to end at $43.04/bbl,while Murban jumped by $4.03/bbl to hit $43.26/bbl on Friday,according to data from Reuters.
