摘要

Semiorganic single crystals of pure, Zn2+ and Cd2+ doped strontium tartrate trihydrate (STT) were achieved in silica gel using single diffusion technique. Single crystal XRD confirms that the grown crystals are crystallized in monoclinic crystal system with noncentrosymmetric space group. The functional groups present in the samples were identified by FTIR analysis. The presence of Zn2+ and Cd2+ in the doped crystals was confirmed by AAS study. Optical transparency of the crystals was analysed by UV-visible spectral analysis and their optical band gap values were determined by Tauc's relation. The enhanced thermal stability of the doped crystals was identified by thermal analysis and the possibilities of co-ordinated water molecules present per unit cell of the samples were determined. The frequency dependent dielectric constant, dielectric loss and ac conductivity of as grown crystals were studied for different temperature. The nonlinear optical measurement of the doped crystals show the relative second harmonic generation efficiencies are much higher than the pure crystal. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
