The following is based on notes from a talk given by Walter Goldstein at the 2004 Preparation Makers Gathering in East Troy, Wisconsin. Steiner's insights into the working of "living forces," which form the basis of biodynamic agriculture, are based on inner clairvoyant and clairsentient experiences and not on theory. These forces can be experienced in a qualitative way through observation of nature and are not synonymous with biological life. Steiner described these processes as spiritual forces that enabled organisms to live. He speaks of three kinds offerees.
