摘要

The receiver antenna weights-updating using I/Q-code multiplexed pilot and decision feedback data symbols after channel decoding to the mean squared error (MSE) generation and channel estimation (also for Rake combining) was proposed for coherent adaptive antenna array diversity (CAAAD) receiver with 4-antenna and its performance was experimentally investigated in W-CDMA reverse link. Experimental results indicated that the required transmit E{sub}b/N{sub}0 for the average BER of 10{sup}(-3) using the proposed receiver antenna weights-updating could be decreased by approximately 1.0 and 1.2 dB compared to the weight-updating with only pilot symbols when the average received SIR was -6 and 12 dB, respectively for 2-user environment, and that the improvement of the required transmit E{sub}b/N{sub}0 using the proposed antenna weights-updating of approximately 1.0-1.2 dB was achieved irrespective of the relative directions of arrival (DOA) relation of the desired and interfering users.
