Spray nozzle choice and low-cost seeding technology were among the machinery topics in focus at Cereals 2010. Growers can make more informed decisions about which air inclusion nozzles to use for particular spray treatments thanks to a new selection chart published by HGCA at Cereals. But they will still need to do a bit of homework to get the full picture and understand the implications of the information provided. Spraying technology expert Paul Miller of the NIAB TAG consultancy has warned operators in re-ceat years that, unlike conventional flat fan tips, air inclusion nozzles of different designs do not produce droplets of the same size.
