During the execution of the project, the task of determining the final costs of a project can be a tedious and time-consuming task. These efforts can be compounded by the sheer size and complexity of the project. Because of these challenges, the project team needs to understand some of the tools and techniques used in today's workplace. The Earned Value Management technique has been used extensively on numerous projects, and in many industries. We will use the earned value management system to focus mainly on the cost and schedule performances of the project, as well as the variances from the project baselines. Once the performances and variances have been identified, the project team can further enhance their assessment of the project data by using many non-performance/performance based EAC mehtohds. The estimate At Completion will assist in determining the contractor's profitability, so understanding this value is essential in administering corrective action. Understanding the probability of success by suing Risk Management thchniques will allow the project team to balance the process that assists in the re-alignment and reprioritization fo the project tasks. The end result will provide a higher level of confidence in predicting the final costs.
