摘要

In 2004, a member of the project controls group within operations and engineering department of TransCanada Pipelines identified a need to develop a lessons learned (LL) database to support the LL process. Later, through (LL) database to support the LL process. The LL process is part of the standard suite of project controls within the remit of the PMO. Essentially, the LL controls within the remit of the PMO. Essentially, the LL process gathers project experiences once each project phase is complete, and these experiences are then documented and can be reviewed by project managers running subsequent projects, in order to gain details from other projects so that mistakes are not repeated.
