"You know, Fm not a Mgman, and like most short guys, Hike my big toys." Tnis is how Tony Roach, Waxahachie, Texas, describes his initial attraction to Chianina cattle. As a young man, he says, he fell in love with fullblood Chianinas for the "shear size" of them. They were "absolute monsters." However, while Chi's may have caught his eye because of their size, over the years they have proven themselves in other ways. In terms of disposition or temperament, Tony says he's never had a bad one. At the same time, it didn't take him long to discover that the packers didn't always like the fullbloods as much as he did.
