All too often, people in the cattle business follow the traditions of generations past. For a distinct few, taking a step away from the path well followed resulted in great accomplishments for the beef cattle industry. One of those distinct leaders inthe Chi-Angus industry resides on a 2,000 acre spread near Miller, S.D. Roger and Marcia Gerdes have owned and operated Gerdes Cow Camp for nearly 30 years. Undoubtedly, their success in the beef industry is credited to Roger and Mar-cia's devotion of high standards of excellence.
