Earned Value Management can be used to identify the specific trades or scopes of work that are contributing to poor performance, and then used to fashion an appropriate isolated and detailed mitigation strategy to provide steps for the improved performance necessary to increase the project production rate enough to complete on time. This presentation provides an innovative look, from an Earned Value perspective, at schedule mitigation, crunching, and acceleration/recovery along with specific identification of lagging production problem areas in the schedule before those areas become responsible for late completion.
