摘要

Augmented reality is a technology which enhances a real environment with virtual objects such as computer graphics. Using a wearable computer, outdoor augmented reality can be realized. Therefore, in the sight spot, the system can be used as a sightseeing guidance system that superimposes annotations on a real object such as a building. This paper proposes an outdoor wearable augmented reality system using hand-held GPS. The proposed system measures user's position and orientation using the hand-held GPS and an inertial sensor, respectively. Our system overlays only annotation information to the buildings when a user is moving, while the system corrects the error of the inertial sensor by using an image-based technique and overlays the virtual objects that requires high accuracy of registration when a user is resting.
