摘要

A preliminary study of six durum wheat genotypes for drought tolerance in the Sidi Bel-Abbes region (western Algeria) was conducted in nine experimental sites during the year 2005-2006 in order to identify the yield parameters variability. The genotype behavior was described for each test site of experimentation, the relative role of different morpho- physiological parameters was demonstrated by from correlations study. The observations concern the effects of environmental constraints on yield and traits associated with it. Results confirm particularly that correlations between yield and associated characters exist and that various genotypes respond differently with the environments. Improved genotypes and precocious ensure the best yield. The early stage of heading is a trait often sought in Mediterranean areas, since it allows the to ovoid the terminal water deficit or deficiency.
