JERSEY CITY, New Jersey (ICIS)--The escalation in the US-China trade war adds to the considerable risks in a slowing global economy, the chief economist of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) said on Thursday. “A major risk is the trade war and resulting sharper downturns in China and the US. Other countries with trade linkages to China, such as in Europe, would also suffer,” said Kevin Swift, chief economist of the ACC, at the 9th ICIS World Surfactants Conference.
