LONDON (ICIS)--Europe recycled polyethylene terephthalate (R-PET) flakes are tight, according to sources this Monday. While producers are running at full capacity, this is not enough to meet demand. The shortage of bottles is, therefore, not the main influence on price, as demand is outstripping available supply. Prices have increased ?5-30/tonne so far this month for clear flakes, while mixed flakes have currently settled between roll over and ?15/tonne.
