摘要

Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer death worldwide, with increasingly high death rates in Europe, North America, and Eastern Asia [ 1 ]. Particularly serious in China, lung cancer incidence has increased by 465% during the past 30 years, and more than 1 million lung cancer patients are predicted to will be diagnosed each year by the year 2025 [2]. Recent data from the IASLC indicated that 65% of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients were classified at stage IIIA-IV, and their overall 5-year survival rate remains lower than 15%, even if they received systematic therapies [3]. Tumor progression and metastasis are the leading causes of death in these advanced NSCLC patients [4]. Therefore, screening lung cancer metastasis-related genes and exploring new pathways is critical for the development of both novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets of NSCLC.
