In March, Vostsibugol resumed coal production at Nygdinsky open?pit mine stopped back in April 2018, Metal Expert learnt. The facility was commissioned in December 2017. Its commercial reserves amount to 3.1 million t of thermal coal with calorific value of over 5,000 kcal/kg and max 1% of sulphur. Run?of? mine coal was expected to be processed at Kasyanovskaya coal prep plant and exported afterwards. The company planned to send unwashed material to the home market.
