Soma,producer of flexographic printing presses,slitter rewinders and laminators,reports that the recently concluded K 2019 show exceeded company expectations-both in terms of visitors at the booth and sales of presses.Among the presses that were sold during the event,was one next-generation Optima 880-8 EG press(880 mm print width with eight units)sold to a customer in Poland,as well as another to a company in China that already operates a first-generation Optima press.The new-generation Optima flexo press was formally launched at K 2019.The previous model has earned a reputation as an exceptional,easy to operate flexo press for short runs-typically for mid-web jobs such as wrap-around labels,shrink sleeves,sachets,various pouches,and a variety of other applications.The next-generation model is now available in a larger size-1050 mm(41.3”)width X 650 mm(25.6”)length.It is perfect for short runs,handling up to 20 jobs a day.
