Germany's Norddeutsche Seekabelwerke (NSW), a General Cable subsidiary, has been awarded acontract to supply the export cable for the Merkur Offshore Wind Farm in Germany.NSW received the contract from Dutch-German transmission systems operator, TenneT. Under thedeal, NSW is to establish the grid connection between the Merkur offshore substation and the DolWingamma converter platform. The designated export cable connection will comprise of two parallel150kV rated HVAC cables.
