摘要

A new strategy employs amorphous melts of active pharmaceutical agents, which are formed with metal chlorides, including ZnCl_2, through speciation ambiguity. The Lewis acidic, bioinorganic ionic liquid formulations improve shelf life and water solubility and eliminate issues related to crystal polymorphism. This broad-ranging approach produces thermally robust chlorometallate preparations for use as lotions, antibiofilm agents, and in situations without refrigeration.
