摘要

The objective of this research is to determine women role in the real economic sector to support tourism industry at Karimunjawa Islands. It use qualitative and quantitative methods. By using community based development and tourism society concept, the result shows that there are directlyand indirectly aspects of tourism and women role at Karimunjawa which relates to tourism. The direct tourism economic activities are tourist guide, homestay manager, hotel maids, souvenir shopkeeper (wood products such as tasbih, keris, key holder, ashtray, necklaces, and bracelets),shopkeeper on seashells product, t-shirt, whitebait and salted fish, sewed, fish chips), motorcycle rental services, catering, and laundry. The indirect tourism economic activities are shop owner (phone credit seller), food stalls owner, whitebait, and packaging salted fish, seaweed production,owner and administrators of rental computer, poultry woman, hairdresser, masseuse, wood and bamboo souvenir craftswomen.
