摘要

Teaching electronics’ practical subject in the classroom is affected by the knowledge and competence of lecturers for the subject to be taught. The new approach for Curriculum Standard for Vocational College (KSKV) that focuses on the application of industrial demand requiresskilled and competent lecturers in mastering the technical knowledge concurrently with the industrial requirements. In Vocational College, practical teaching approach is up to 80 percent and it requires lecturers not only need to have the right technique and strategy, but also have an accurateknowledge and quality services to all students. Technical knowledge competency for electronics’ lecturers can be evaluated and obtained through quantitative research using questionnaires as an instrument. Respondents in this study were 135 electronics’ lecturers in Vocational College,Malaysia. The results showed that the lecturers were competence in electronic technical knowledge. Lecturers who attended skills upgrading courses have higher competence level of technical knowledge than lecturers that was never followed.
