摘要

A significant growth of Malaysian residential property development is evident, particularly in the main areas such as Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Penang. The rapid development of residential property benefits the economic which expands the investment opportunity for both local andforeign investors. However, massive development in residential property resulted in uncontrolled housing supply and lead to an increase in housing price. It was getting worse when the residential property price offered in the market way beyond the reach for many families. Hence, this situationaffected the household’s economic well-being in homeownership affordability. Thus, this study is conducted to: understand the concepts of household wellbeing and housing affordability, and investigate the factors of household’s economic well-being in home ownership.
