摘要

Feeding clay can help to alleviate the effect of a grain challenge on the rumen environment and ultimately affect the performance of Holstein cows.Inclusion of clay products in the diet seems to linearly reduce aflatoxin transfer from the rumen and diet to the milk and feces of mid-lactation Holstein cows.Clay's mode of action is commonly associated with its ion-exchanging capacity.Injectable trace minerals help alleviate the oxidative stress due to an aflatoxin challenge in dairy cows.
