摘要

The pseudobinary phase diagram La_2W_2O_9?Li_2W_2O_7, which is an isopleth section of the Li_2O?WO_3?La_2O_3 ternary, is described for the first time. It contains the 1:1 intermediate phase LiLa(WO_4)_2(ss) = x Li_2W_2O_7?(1 ? x)La_2W_2O_9 with a homogeneity region 0.48 ≤ x ≤ 0.546. LiLa(WO_4)_2(ss) is a prospective laser host material, and single-crystal fibers could be grown by a micro-pullingdown technique. LiLa(WO_4)_2 undergoes peritectic melting at 998 ± 5 °C for x = 0.48. A eutectic point exists between LiLa(WO_4)_2 and Li_2W_2O_7 at 722 ± 5 °C and 90 mol % Li_2W_2O_7.
