摘要

Primary SnO nanoparticles prepared via a solid-state reaction have been used to form oriented chainlike aggregation nanostructures, which can subsequently recrystallize into effective SnO2 nanorods by means of heat treatment in the presence of NaCl. NaCl is critical to not only prevent a drastic increase in the size of the precursors but also provide aqueous and kinetic conditions which are helpful for the oriented growth of the primary nanoparticles. The new method is convenient, inexpensive, and efficient for the preparation of SnO2 nanorods with fairly satisfying uniformity.
