A novel three-dimensional heterobimetallic cluster [[Bu4N][WS4Cu3(CN)(2)]}(n) (1) with a heavily distorted diamondoid topology was constructed from the T-shaped building clusters [WS4CU3](+) and single cyanide bridges in a 4-connected mode; this cluster shows strong third-order nonlinear optical properties.
