A range of peizoceramic components and ultrasonic sensors for the flow measurement of utilities including gas, heat and water, has been introduced by Morgan Technical Ceramics (MTC) of Stourport-on-Severn, UK. Ultrasonic flow measurement devices could be used in smart meters, according to the company. Smart meters are designed to display real-time data about energy use and pricing, helping residential and commercial energy conservation efforts.
