The concessionaire of Colombia’s Rio Magdalena 2 highway project is looking for a new contractor after it rescinded an agreement with Spain’s OHL for alleged contract breaches.Aleatica said the decision was taken after detecting breaches by OHL on its engineering,procurement and construction contract(EPC).”The construction company did not demonstrate the correct use of the more than PS150bn pesos($48.4mn)in advances that were disbursed by Autopista Rio Magdalena to OHL exclusively for the development of the project,”Aleatica said,threatening legal action.
